Former Corporate Counsel Strengthens FaegreBD’s D.C. Labor and Employment Group

Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce that Jim Philbin has joined the law firm as counsel in the labor and employment group in Washington, D.C. Jim is a labor lawyer, litigator and corporate counsel who leverages 25 years of experience as a partner in a global law firm and over a decade of experience as a corporate executive, director and the general counsel of Maersk Inc., the North American subsidiary of A. P. Moller-Maersk A/S.

Jim helps clients solve complex corporate challenges including regulatory compliance, labor and employment, corporate investigations and crisis management. He focuses on representing employers in class action and employment discrimination matters and counseling on labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, representation, election campaigns, arbitration and strikes. Jim also supports on compliance with U.S. and international corporate laws and regulations and conducts high-stakes U.S. and international investigations.

Jim earned his law degree from New York University School of Law and graduated with a D.D.S. from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
