100 days of GDPR

By Steve Wilson | Partner & Emma Ladley | Senior Associate

Welcome back from summer and Shanah Tovah to those who celebrated earlier this week.
Summer is often quieter on the new regulation front (although the soap opera of issues relating to Brexit continues to develop – see the latest here). Of course, regular readers will not be surprised that GDPR has not gone away – to quote our UK privacy colleague, Mark Taylor“GDPR is for Life and not just for May 25th“! However, we are now over 100 days from implementation date and we have recently published a plethora of video content providing updates to keep you in the loop. The overriding message is that if you’ve done nothing, do it now! If you’re all set, keep it under review.

Our colleague, Emma Ladley who specialises in UK employment and particularly how GDPR impacts on international HR issues, has shared her thoughts on this and she will be in NYC September 19-26. Emma’s experience in advising US clients on European employment issues may be of interest and we’d be more than happy to schedule an introductory meeting if useful – please click here.

There’s lots going on in the City this month, so we look forward to seeing you at one of the events soon.

Kind regards,
Steve
