Post US Election Outlook: Scenarios for the Transatlantic Economy

Join us for an analysis of the results of this year's U.S. Elections and the implications for the transatlantic relationship.

The program will start with an assessment by David O’Sullivan, EU Ambassador to the United States, of the political and economic priorities of the European Union in engaging with the new US administration and Congress.

After setting the political stage, panelists will join in a discussion of what the business community on both sides of the Atlantic can expect from the new administration. Their discussion will analyze some of the key policy proposals and what they mean for the U.S. Economy and the relationship with Europe.
Topics will include:
• Possible impact of US policy changes on EU-US trade activity
• What are the changes to expect for the US business environment?
• Potential effects for European companies on either side of the Atlantic
• State of the EU economy and the environment for US firms in Europe
• The role of government on growth initiatives on either side of the Atlantic, what is likely to work and where?
• Implications of Brexit on Europe and the United States
