W2NYC Smart and Sustainable Cities – Update

After a whirlwind three days of 18 events, meetings with companies from all across the globe, and hosting over 300 guests, the W2NYC Smart and Sustainable Cities program has come to an end!

A few of the highlights:

Winning teams: In front of a packed house (standing room only), the W2NYC delegates got the chance to pitch their business to over 100 distinguished guests , including New York City’s newly-appointed and first-ever Chief Technology Officer, Minerva Tantoco.  The panel of judges chose the following winners:
o   Energy and Smart Grid track: ZeroBase (Michigan)
o   Intelligent Infrastructure track: Urbiotica (Spain)
o   Mobility and Transportation track: HopOn (Israel)
o   Grand prize winner: OptiRTC (Massachusetts)

The three track winners will get two free months at the Urban Future Lab and the grand prize winner won a free plane ticket and lodging to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona.
